"Tales from another world"
The strangest pictures of animals and wildlife in 2022 (photos)
In a spacious yard, large paintings hanging on all walls, simulating stories, moments, and situations from the secret world of wildlife and animals, more than 25 photos are currently displayed in an exhibition at the Natural History Museum in London, as part of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year People Choice competition
An orangutan taking care of her baby, a grizzly bear catching salmon, and a herd of elephants protecting their young are all scenes in the paintings that look like a documentary about a life we didn't know. Those paintings that take minutes for you to watch may fascinate the eye, but it took hours, and even days, that wildlife and animal photographers spend, in forests, high trees, and in the depths of the sea, to take pictures with such accuracy. The exhibition will continue until voting ends on February 2, 2022, according to CNN.
"The People's Choice Award provides amazing observations about nature and our relationship with it, sparking our curiosity and strengthening our connection with the natural world," Natalie Cooper, a researcher at the Museum of Natural History and a member of the jury, said in a statement.
She added: "It is difficult and challenging to choose just one of these images, so we are looking forward to discovering the wild moment that emerges as the best picture for the audience."
It is reported that more than 50,000 entries were received from 95 countries for this year's competition. In October, French photographer Laurent Ballista has crowned Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2022.
