The interior design of the first internet-enabled vehicle to provide space tourism

The interior design of the first

Want to go on a trip to outer space but can't? Space Perspective wants to make it happen, and it's easy to envision it as the next scene for influencers and celebrities who want to craft the perfect social media post.

Especially after opening reservations last summer and becoming the first space tourism company to accept cryptocurrency as payment.

Space Perspective has now revealed designs for the Spaceship Neptune passenger capsule, which will soar to the edge of space thanks to a giant balloon.

With a nearly 360-degree panoramic view, the Spaceship Neptune's lounge looks less like a spaceship and more like a luxury Airbnb rental home. The entire space is designed for comfort with reclining seats, food and beverage capabilities, LED lighting to enhance views of the Earth, space blacks, a telescope, and interactive screens to keep passengers informed of flight progress.

As part of the news, Space Perspective announced that hospitality and entertainment entrepreneur David Grossman (known for his Miami-area restaurant and nightclub ventures) will be joining the company as an Experience Curator.

Grossman will advise on the overall experience from arrival at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, to during flight and after landing.

"The importance of this design breakthrough is hard to overstate, Space Perspective sets standards in space tourism," says Jane Poynter, founder, co-CEO, and chief experience officer of Space Perspective.

“The comfort and serenity of the exhilarating Space Lounge experience offer travelers the opportunity to take exceptional photos, learn through expert pilot and interactive content, indulge in once-in-a-lifetime dining experiences, and of course enjoy 360-degree views.

Our intentional design process creates a composition that enables individual contemplation of our extraordinary planet while inviting a sense of shared experience among our space explorers that will create bonds that will last a lifetime.

We are thrilled David has joined forces to bring the very best in customizable hospitality to our space explorers.”

Perhaps just as important—particularly in an age of viral obsessions and short-sighted environmental policies—Space Perspective aims only to be the first, and possibly the only, carbon-neutral, zero-emissions way to space for the foreseeable future.

Commercial flights to 100,000 feet (20 miles/30 km) are scheduled to begin in late 2024, with 600 tickets sold so far. With the first year of seats fully booked, Space Perspective is currently making reservations for 2025 and beyond. Tickets are $125,000 per person, and reservations are made with a fully refundable deposit starting at $1,000.

Everyone who loves adventure and exploration should do this unique experience, but in the beginning, these trips will be limited to the rich only, as they can pay and bear the cost of the trip.
